Position Summary
Due to patient demand for our services, we are excited to add a Medical Receptionist/MA team member. This person will be our key Medical Receptionist in our Fargo clinic. We are looking for that person who loves helping people, has patience when dealing with patients, who is kind, but also works efficiently, independently, and well with others. Responsibilities
Assists patients by greeting them, answering questions, scheduling appointments, checking them in/out, and maintaining records and accounts.
Makes patients and visitors feel valued and welcome whether it be in person or on the phone.
Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by phone.
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patients’ arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
Helps patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining an inviting but orderly reception area.
Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Assists with revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient payments, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims..
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information and other HIPAA related protections.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks as requested.
Scans pertinent patient information into EMR including patient authorizations, lab results, referral information, etc.
Has the ability to float between all clinics as necessary.
Possess the skillset to be cross trained into medical assistant for our clinic providers.
