What does it mean to be a Registered Vascular Technoloist (RVT)?

RVTs use vascular sonography, otherwise known as vascular ultrasound, to help identify any blockages or blood clots in a patient’s arteries and veins. Ultrasound is safe and painless for the patient.

During the ultrasound exam, a lubricating gel and a transducer, a small probe, are placed directly on the skin and provides photos of the body’s veins and arteries. by using sound waves. The vascular ultrasound provides photos of the veins and arteries in the body, along with showing real-time blood flood through blood vessels.
