Uncover Your Legs with Insurance Coverage

Does Insurance Cover My Vein Treatment?

When patients come to Physicians Vein Clinics, they often ask if insurance will pay for their vein treatment. In many cases, insurance will help pay for the treatment of veins as long as the veins are symptomatic. The most common symptoms are leg pain, aching, heaviness, fatigue, swelling, cramping, and even restless legs. The symptoms will need to be affecting or limiting daily activities or your job.

Many insurance companies may require you to do what is called conservative therapy. These include daily exercise, taking anti-inflammatories and wearing graduated compression stockings. The companies vary in the length of time that you are required to complete conservative vein treatment. Some companies will allow us to start improving your vein symptoms once we have completed documentation, others will require that you do conservative therapy for up to 3 months.

We will work with your insurance company to make sure we have completed all paperwork and conservative therapy so that you qualify for vein treatment under your insurance plan.
